Main Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and clean-up of job sites.
  • Perform basic construction tasks including but not limited to plumb, painting, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with roofing tasks as needed.
  • Engage in masonry work, including bricklaying and concrete pouring.
  • Support welding and fabrication activities under supervision.

Skills

Pay- £100.00- £150.00 per day

Shils are looking for an experienced multi skilled maintenance person to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out property maintenance tasks, both planned and reactive, to facilitate the smooth running of the properties.You will need to be experienced at plumbing and basic electrics, carpentry, changing locks, tiling, decorating, and fixing ad hoc tasks etc. Common sense and the ability to use your own initiative is essential.
Adequate written and verbal communication skills are required and you will need the ability to multi-task and have strong time-management skills.You will also need to be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and have a flexible approach and a willingness to take on new tasks.
Main Duties
  • To undertake and see through to completion any required maintenance work in the properties, for example, basic electrics, plumbing, carpentry, decorating, repairs, changing locks, tiling, decorating and fixing ad hoc tasks etc.
  • Visit properties to assess maintenance required and provide a quote for the work to be carried out.
  • To carry out duties in a friendly, courteous and professional manner, respecting the tenants at all times
  • To complete all necessary administration and recording in accordance with company guidelines.

  • To provide an emergency call-out maintenance service as and when required.
  • To liaise with contractors, representatives and suppliers where required.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience

The role is also responsible for overseeing various administrative tasks, coordinating project activities and supporting the project teams on site.

  • Managing project documents
  • Tracking and overseeing project progress
  • Arranging meetings
  • Preparing reports – projects and personnel
  • Leading and developing Site Managers alongside the Project Managers
  • Ensuring standardise communications with the clients
  • Responsible for implementing programmes for Operation implementation projects
  • Overseeing working schedules, holidays, training needs and future plans for Site Managers
  • Maintaining project records
  • Overseeing that we are compliant in adhering to legal and regulatory requirements e.g. health and safety.
